GROWING A STRONG DIVERSE EFT SUPPORT SYSTEM
We welcome EFT therapists looking for a place to call home. We are a community engaged in supporting one another in learning, celebrating successes, and sharing in challenges on our varied EFT journeys.
Mission: Washington EFT Therapists (WAEFT) is an ever-evolving community of mental health practitioners who practice and study Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, families and individuals. As a community, we are constantly learning how to embody diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, mental/physical ability, and socio-economic status.
Our goal is to create a flow of support, connection, and inspiration as well as a sense of home and community for EFTers in the Washington State region.
We believe that true connection requires risk and vulnerability and that we all need support in finding these within ourselves and with each other. For therapists with a minimum training of an EFT externship as well as experienced EFT therapists we offer community, camaraderie, training, supervision and referrals to EFT therapists and supervisors. Our focus is on facilitating communication and connection as well as encouraging and supporting adherent and effective use of the EFT model.
We believe in the power and promise of love as a universal force for deep healing--for our clients, ourselves and one another and together we are working to transform the world one relationship at a time.
WAEFT is a voluntary organization with revolving leadership and participants from pre-externship to supervisor level in Emotionally Focused Therapy.
Inclusion: As a community we are constantly learning how to embody diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, mental/physical ability, and socio-economic status.
